A few works from traveling around Italy last spring.


An unfinished angel.  My friend Kelly and I stood on a Roman bridge and sketched the statues for a good 45 minutes.  At one point a little Asian lady poked her head infront of us - sized us up with the statue and said, "You're much prettier than her!" - hahahahahaha




The bridge in Rome, from the river bank below.


This was painted while sitting on a ledge in front of Roman ruins close to the Collesium at sunset 



I sat in the middle of Florence - in the river.  You can hop over the stone wall and sit on a nice river bank (hopefully with some delicious gelatto), and even a dry slab of concrete the water would otherwise cover.  Great place for painting bridges.
