Søvnen, ‘Slumber Song,’ by Norwegian poet BJ. Bjørnson is a poem depicting the stages of life from infancy to adulthood, from peace to pain and sorrow and the return to peace. Throughout life, prayer and angelic presence watches over us, bringing peace and comfort.
